Terms of use

Draft for review — this text must be checked by legal counsel before launch.

1. About these terms

These terms explain how you may use OC Market. By creating an account or placing a trade you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Who can use OC Market

You must be of legal age where you live and allowed by your local laws to use prediction markets. You are responsible for checking this before you sign up.

We may ask for information to confirm your identity, and we may limit or close accounts that we cannot verify.

3. How markets work

Each market asks a question with two or more outcomes. Shares in a correct outcome pay $1.00 when the market resolves; shares in other outcomes pay nothing.

Every market shows its own rules and resolution source. Those rules decide the result, even if public opinion differs.

4. Risk

Trading carries risk and you can lose the full amount you spend on a position. Prices can move quickly. Only trade what you can afford to lose.

5. Deposits and withdrawals

You are responsible for sending funds on the correct network to the address shown. Funds sent to the wrong network or address may not be recoverable.

Withdrawals may be held for security review. We will tell you if more information is needed.

6. Fair use

Do not manipulate markets, use insider information, run multiple accounts to get around limits, or interfere with the platform. We may cancel trades and close accounts that break these rules.

7. Privacy

We collect the information needed to run your account, keep it secure and meet legal duties. We do not sell your personal data. You can ask us for a copy of your data or to delete your account at any time.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use OC Market after that means you accept the new terms.
